Big Missouri (Hallway)

Big Missouri is organized primarily on the basis of geography, showcasing the diverse practices of artists working in the state’s four largest urban areas. Despite the lack of an overarching theme, many resonances emerge: architecture, landscape, industry, geometry. Ranging from whimsical to critical, the works in Big Missouri develop new perspectives on both familiar and not-so-familiar places.
Mutually Inclusive
Aug. 14 – Sept. 25
“Mutually Inclusive” is a group exhibition exploring reciprocity through the art of call and response. Reciprocity is not transactional, but rather, a form of mutual dependence; a practice of cyclic give and take reliant on communal trust. The artists who developed this project responded to the prompt of creating interdependent textures within their respective mediums to create a layered visual/sonic experience.
