Big Missouri

The Waiting Room is pleased to present Big Missouri, a group exhibition curated by Rebecca Blocksome. Situated in the hallway gallery, the six-week exhibition features work by six emerging and established artists from across the state.

Big Missouri is organized primarily on the basis of geography, showcasing the diverse practices of artists working in the state’s four largest urban areas. Although there is no overarching theme, many resonances emerge: landscape, domesticity, industry, geometry. Ranging from whimsical to critical, the works in Big Missouri invite new perspectives on both familiar and not-so-familiar spaces.
